Bed 1 Before

Bed 1 Before

This master bedroom lacked color and the style did not fit with the fun personality of its owner.

We added color to the walls and bed with paint, a new bedspread, and custom made pillows. A decorative mirror was hung over the bed to reflect light and color.

The bedroom contains 2 closets with clothes, shoes and purses stored in both.

We sorted through this client's clothes and other belongings, and hauled items off to trash and charity. We were then able to reorganize this space to include a laundry system for sorting dirty clothes and shelves to allow the client to better reach her folded clothing. Shoes and purses are now stored in the second closet.

Jewelry

Before, jewelry was stored in several places, including the top of the dresser. These jewelry storage systems help to keep everything sorted and stored in the top drawer of the dresser.

Keepsakes

This beautiful cedar chest had been hidden in a corner under the tv and stereo. We purchased a corner tv stand, which allowed the dvd player, videos and other items to be stored behind doors. The cedar chest was then put at the end of the bed and used to store the client's keepsakes.

Seasonal items and items used less frequently are stored under the bed in specialized, labeled containers that open on either end.

Our client had a beautiful window and seat hidden behind a broken black blind and laundry baskets.

We installed new wood blinds, made a custom window treatment to accent the unique structure of the window and added custom-made throw pillows to turn this into the focal point of the room.
