This client's garage had been overtaken by old furniture, household items, toys and tools.
We worked with the client to sort their items into trash, donate and keep piles. After hauling away the trash and donations, we worked to organize the space into zones. This picture shows the lawn and garden zone. A row of hooks was installed to allow most items to hang off of the floor.
We built a work center - including table, pegboard, drawers and locking cabinet - to hold tools and dangerous chemicals.
This corner was overrun with toys and tools, so that the garage door could not be opened.
After clearing the clutter, we built a toy zone for this client's 3 children. A custom-made bikerack and lockers for each child provide the perfect space to park their bikes, scooters and other toys. The children can now access their toys easily through the third car garage door.
We painted signs for each child's locker to help create a feeling of pride and ownership.
Similar to the last set of pictures, this garage was divided into zones. Bikes were hung from a rack and strollers are parked underneath. A work center was built - including table, pegboard, drawers and large locked cabinet - to house tools and dangerous chemicals.
The locked cabinet is also organized into zones: including insect spray and repellent, gardening, and auto. Owner manuals for outside tools and equipment are stored in a labeled plastic container.
This area holds lawn and garden tools, with most items off of the floor.
Sports equipment, lawn chairs and toys are stored for easy access near the garage door.
Items used less often, including camping and tailgating gear and some outdoor Christmas decorations, are stored next to the parking area. Recycling and garbage bins are stored next to the home entry door for easy access from inside.
